Built on the site of a former pulp mill, Pacific Energy’s Woodfibre LNG project is a significant development in the LNG industry. Designed with environmental approval from the British Columbia and Canadian governments, Woodfibre also received environmental approval from the Squamish Nation, the first such approval by an Indigenous people in the absence of a treaty. Featuring advanced technology and stringent emission controls to minimize its carbon footprint and environmental impact, Woodfibre LNG stands out as a model of sustainable LNG production. Woodfibre will export LNG to global markets providing a cleaner energy alternative to legacy fossil fuel sources.
